Manchester United keeper David de Gea does not feature in the Red Devils official 2016 calendar, despite signing a contract that could keep him at the club until 2020.
The Spanish stopper came close to joining Real Madrid on transfer deadline day only for the move to collapse at the 11th hour after the two clubs failed to submit the necessary paperwork on time.
De Gea has now been restored to the team after agreeing a contract extension at Old Trafford last month.
However United's calendar went to print while his future was uncertain. "Marketing ran out of time. They were desperate to include De Gea but thought he might go. They could not risk having an ex-star on fans' walls," a source told the Mirror
