The News says Pompey have been placed under a fresh transfer embargo by the Premier League as they move towards administration.

The Blues have again missed scheduled player payments, meaning the block has been placed on them.

That means they are unable to register Serb defender Tosic, who is training with the club.

Tosic was named as an unused substitute in the FA Cup fifth round win at Southampton.
