Tranmere Rovers are prepared to sell Dale Jennings this month.
The teenage striker has been watched by Everton and West Bromwich Albion this season.
The Daily Mail says released by Liverpool, Jennings was signed by Tranmere. He turned 18 last month and has made just 15 starts in League One, scoring four goals.
With a contract that runs until the summer of 2012, Tranmere insist they do not need to sell their prodigy, but may settle for a sizeable fee, plus Jennings loaned back to them for the remainder of the season.
