Trade between New England and Colorado on hold

A proposed player trade between New England Revolution and the Colorado Rapids has been put on hold due to contract and medical issues.

The deal involves Revs midfielders Jeff Larentowicz and Wells Thompson to be traded to Colorado for goalkeeper Preston Burpo and defender Cory Gibbs but some difficulties were experienced involving 'Gibbs' contract as well as a delay until Monday for his medical exam to be performed' reported the Washington Post's Insider.
