Tottenham winger Andros Townsend has urged fans to stay patient after a difficult win over Hull City.
Townsend admitted it was tough to break down Steve Bruce's side.
"It was difficult against a team that sets up with five defenders and four midfielders, all behind the ball," he said.
"We tried to play the football, the opposition wouldn't let us with their system and tactics, but our persistence paid off and we got the win, that's all that matters."
He added: "It's difficult and sometimes it will take 70, 80 minutes to get the goal. Thankfully, we got the goal we deserved because we were the only team going for it."
