Hull City fullback Connor Townsend is enjoying his loan with Dundee United.
Townsend essentially has moved to Tannadice as a replacement for Tigers revelation Andrew Robertson.
"When I first went up there every interview I did was about filling his shoes and that became something to aim for," Townsend told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Robbo did brilliantly up there. I've met him and he's a lovely lad, a top guy.
"He got into the team of the year and although it wasn't about emulating him, I wanted to be as good for myself.
"He's a great example. I personally think he's brilliant. He's showing he can handle the Premier League and if I could follow his path, which is no mean feat, I'd be delighted."
