Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has spoken of being frozen out by manager Pep Guardiola earlier this season.

Toure remains one of the few players ever to have 'come back from the dead' under Guardiola – who left him out of his Champions League group-stage squad this season.

It's still likely that City will have to offer Toure more than a 12-month extension if they want to retain his services, but he said: “I don't know and I don't think about it.

“What the fans here give to me, I want to give back – so I will do all that I can until the last minute, and if I am done, I am done."
