Toure admits Man City motivation levels lacking

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has hinted they've struggled for motivation this season.

Toure admitted facing a fellow powerhouse like Chelsea might be easier for City's highly-paid stars than playing at places like Southampton.

"I love the big games. Sometimes it's because of the fans and sometimes because of the quality of the football," he told the Mail on Sunday.

"The key games are the ones against the big clubs - Chelsea, United, Tottenham, Liverpool. We need to deliver in these type of games. But Chelsea are not an easy team to beat, we know that.

"We knew that it was always going to be more difficult for us as champions. But if you are a great sportsman you want to win everything all the time. It is part of sport and pressure is part of sport."
