Toulouse president Sadran hails sacrifice made by Newcastle's Sissoko

Toulouse president Olivier Sadran says he'll always be grateful to Moussa Sissoko for what he did for the club.

In January 2013, Sissoko moved to Newcastle United for €2.5 million - but could easily have waited to quit TFC on a Bosman that June.

Sadran recalled to France Football: "I told Moussa: 'you came from 9-3. At TFC you were well fed, but the club cannot live if it does not sell players. You are in your right, but I'm challenging the morality of the story. If tomorrow everyone behaves as your agent, we can no longer bring the small Moussa Sissoko from 9-3, we can no longer pay club educators'.

"Today, when he returns, he is proud to have left €2.5 million in cash with us.

"But there are people around who demonise footballers. You cannot say this about Moussa. If Moussa was free to leave in the summer of 2013, the signing bonus would have been bigger and the commission the same for the agent."
