Ligue 1 club Toulouse have knocked down West Ham United's approach for striker Martin Braithwaite, according to RMC.

The Hammers reportedly made a £8.5million offer for the Denmark international, but that offer was deemed insufficient by Toulouse for their captain.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is desperately looking for a striker in the transfer market as the likes of Simone Zara, Andre Ayew, Ashley Fletcher and Jonathan Calleri have failed to produce the goods in the first half of the season.

25-year-old forward Braithwaite has scored seven league goals for his side this season.
