Francesco Totti has urged AS Roma fans to get behind director Walter Sabatini.

Sabatini is responsible for transfers.

Totti said: "We must put our faith in the work of director Walter Sabatini and do our best on the field to reduce the gap from Juventus.

"I never thought that we wouldn't go into the Champions League. This season Juve deserved the Scudetto, as we had a slip-up and they proved to be stronger in the Champions League too.

"Now we can enjoy finishing second in consecutive campaigns and will try to do better next year."
