Francesco Totti's return inspired Roma's 3-1 thumping of Chelsea in Champions League action overnight. Returning to the side, Totti exited the action in the 61st minute with his side leading 3-0 in front of 45,000 fans at Rome's Olympic Stadium, having had a hand in the second goal scored by Vucinic.
Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi was thrilled to have his captain back in the side: "It was great to have Francesco leading the side for such an important match."
Manager Luciano Spalletti was lavish in praise for his side: "Brighi e Perrotta worked really hard for us tonight, helping the defence on many occasions.
"Totti's return to the side was very important as it allowed him to link up with Vucinic, a duo that proved very damaging to the Chelsea defence.
