Tottenham striker Roman Pavyluchenko wants a return home to Russia in January.

Despite the interest of Liverpool, Birmingham City and AC Milan, Pavlyuchenko believes his World Cup chances would be best served by returning to Russia's Premier League.

He explained: "If there is a good offer from Russia, I'll accept it. If I was to join a team from Germany or Spain, I would lose a lot of time acclimatizing and at my age that's not very desirable."
