Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios has paid tribute to Sunderland boss Steve Bruce.

Bruce signed Palacios twice while in charge of Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic.

Palacios told tottenhamhotspur.com: "Steve Bruce is a very good manager and I have a great deal of respect for him. I really would like to thank him for helping me and developing me as a player when I first came to England. I am very appreciative of what he did for me and my career and I will never forget that."
