Luka Modric has stepped up his rehabilitation by appearing in a training ground friendly for Tottenham. The Croatian midfielder has been sidelined since suffering a fractured fibula in the Premier League game against Birmingham back in August.
He is now closing in on a first-team comeback after coming through 70 minutes of a friendly against Grays Athletic on Tuesday.
Development coach Clive Allen was delighted with his part in a 5-2 victory over the Blue Square Premier side at Spurs Lodge.
"It was great to see Luka back," Allen told the club's official website.
"He worked hard in the game, he needed the match practice and I'm sure it will bring him on a great deal."
