Newcastle United are chasing Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon.

The People says Lennon, who turns 21 next month, has so far failed to live up to his stunning early form at White Hart Lane and it is believed Spurs manager Juande Ramos would allow the player to leave for around £8million.

And Paul Kemsley, a close aide of Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, played a key role in Lennon's move from Leeds to Spurs three years ago.
