Tottenham's Jenas chasing England recall

Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas hopes his recent form earns him an England recall.

Jenas was the star of Tottenham's Carling Cup demolition of Arsenal, and he believes they head to Old Trafford this weekend full of confidence for the FA Cup fourth-round clash.

The 24-year-old midfielder scored at United's ground two seasons ago and wants another good performance there to catch the eye of England boss Fabio Capello.

"It's always good to play well for my club, which is my main issue," said Jenas.

"If the England manager is there to watch my performances then that is great.

"I've always stated that I want to be in the England squad so hopefully when it gets announced I'll be in it. If not I'll just work harder.

"We're going to Old Trafford and it's not an easy place to go but we go there full of confidence after the Arsenal game. We're looking forward to it now.

"I was lucky enough to bang one in there before so hopefully I can keep the decent run going.

"Aaron Lennon chipped in with a goal against Arsenal and another good performance. There are a few of us doing all right but we've got to put a lid on it and concentrate on the match."
