Tottenham defender Alan Hutton was delighted to win the Carling Cup less than a month after his arrival from Rangers.

"This was only my third game for Tottenham and it was a final. I am sure we will have more," said Hutton. "One of the reasons I came here was to play against people like Anelka. It will help me improve.

"The big difference to Scotland is the quality. Down here you play an international player every week."

As for Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate, Hutton added: "I have not seen a better partnership than these two.

"If they keep themselves fit, they are a great pair."
