Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos has welcomed the replacing of Harry Redknapp with Andre Villas-Boas.

Dos Santos, who has been linked with a move back to Spain this summer after impressing during his loan spell with Racing Santander, has revealed his relationship with Redknapp was non-existent.

He said: "All players want opportunities and it was very frustrating that I didn't play in many games for the old manager.

"I almost never spoke with him so he never explained any reasons why he wasn't playing me."
