Tottenham's Ghaly considers Egypt return

The 27-year-old is surplus to requirements at the Premier League club after a public disagreement with previous manager Martin Jol.

"I am still anticipating offers from Europe, but if nothing came this summer then a return to Ahli on loan could be fitting," he told FilGoal.com.

"It would be meaningless to stay with Tottenham this season because the board made it clear that my chances of playing are limited after last year's problem."

Ghaly concedes a knee injury sustained during Egypt's 2-0 win over Malawi last month has not helped his search for a new club.

He added: "I am really disappointed with the timing of the injury, but I hope to be fit soon."
