Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe was pleased to score against former club Portsmouth yesterday.
He said: "To score on my home debut for the second time meant a lot - but it would have been so much better if we could have won.
"I celebrated scoring against my old club because I always feel fantastic when I hit the target, why change?
"Hopefully this is just the start for me - I want more goals to help push the team up the table.
"We are in a real fight at the minute, it's tough down there but we've just got to keep it going.
"Obviously I knew I was going to get a bit of stick from the Portsmouth fans. That's football but I enjoyed the game and it would have been nice if we had won."
