Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has revealed he was milkman before turning pro.

Dawson told Hotspur magazine: "I was a milkman and used to get up at 6.15 every morning except Sundays.

"I did that from the age of about 13 until I was 16. It was great in the summer but in the winter it was absolutely freezing.

"We used to do one week on, one week off and I can always remember when it was your week off. Great!"
