Tottenham's Kevin-Prince Boateng wants to take advantage of a new FIFA ruling to switch his international allegiance from Germany to Ghana.

The 22-year-old told Sport Bild, "Now I want to further develop myself with Ghana. This is the next step."

Boateng is eligible to play for Ghana as his father is from the African nation.

He spent the end of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund but hopes that a switch of nationality will kick-start his career
