Dimitar Berbatov admits he has a "telepathic" understanding with Tottenham strike-partner Robbie Keane.

"It is like a telepathic connection and that is what I like," said Berbatov on Spurs TV. "He is a great technical player who thinks with his head when he is playing and that is what I like the most about him.

"I have worked well together with Keano in both my seasons with the club. I'm very happy with the relationship we have."

With 22 goals in all competitions to his name this campaign Berbatov is three shy of matching last season's tally, and he believes that shows the consistency of his partnership with Keane.

"This season we have proved again that we understand each other in training and during the games. I am very happy that our relationship is like that on the field," he added.

"Obviously there are games where things are not working right, but we know how to play with each other when somebody is moving and the other one has won the ball."
