Tottenham winger David Bentley has expressed regret over the manner of his departure from Blackburn Rovers.
The midfielder is hoping for a fresh start under new manager Andre Villas-Boas.
He told the People: "I was gutted at the way I conducted myself when I left Blackburn, saying I wanted to leave. If I could take that back, I would. I'd apologise to the fans and John Williams, who was the chairman, for the way I left.
"The injuries have been massive problems for me as well and, with the other problems, it just became a mountain of crap."
