Sunderland boss Roy Keane is set for talks with Tottenham striker Darren Bent.

The Mirror says Keane will this week try to convince Bent that he can re-ignite his England prospects at Sunderland.

The Black Cats boss is desperate to land the Spurs striker in a £12million deal, with Kenwyne Jones on the long-term injury list.

Bent's representatives have indicated that they are willing to speak to Sunderland if the two clubs agree a fee.

Aston Villa and Blackburn are also interested in the 24-year-old hitman, who cost Tottenham £16.5million.
