Gareth Bale is set to make his Tottenham debut against long-time suitors Manchester United on Sunday.
Spurs eventually saw off competition from United to land the former Southampton left-back for £10 million and he is now ready to make his first official appearance after recovering from a knee injury.
Wales international Bale managed to get 45 minutes of action against Bulgaria on Wednesday night.
And Spurs boss Martin Jol said: "Gareth is almost ready and that is why I was happy for him to go to the Wales match."
