Tottenham's Bale to be named PFA Player of Year

Tottenham star Gareth Bale is set to be named PFA Player of the Year.

The Sun says he will be crowned PFA Player of the Year for the second time tonight.

The Spurs flier has beaten off the challenge of Robin van Persie to join Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo in winning the prize twice.

And the Welshman, 23, is also up for the Young Player of the Year in the vote taken by his fellow professionals.
