Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed the reasons why Dele Alli came off so early in the second half on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old midfielder complained of dizziness at half-time of Spurs' eventual 3-0 win at Norwich City and was replaced by Nacer Chadli.
Alli had scored an early opener for the North Londoners and won the penalty that led to their second goal, which was converted by Harry Kane, and he will now be further assessed before Tottenham make a call on his wellbeing.
"At half-time he felt unwell and was a little bit dizzy so we took the decision on the advice of the doctor to make the change," said Pochettino.
"It was in the last few minutes before we left the changing room so we quickly needed to make a change, but now he is okay.
"We will need to assess him tomorrow, but I cannot guess for the future - only that it is important that he is much better."
