Tottenham won't compete with Man Utd for Real Madrid's Modric

Tottenham won't compete with Manchester United for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.

The London Evening Standard says the prospect of sending Modric back as part of Real Madrid's Gareth Bale negotiations has been raised but Levy is believed to have quickly ruled that out.

Levy is not interested in resigning Modric and a move to Manchester United remains a more realistic possibility for the player because the Premier League champions have so far failed to land Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas.

Arsenal have also been linked with the Croatia international this week.
