Tottenham winger Andros Townsend admits his England call-up came as a shock.

Townsend has only just forced his way into the first team at Spurs after spending part of last season on loan at QPR.

But he said: "Of course I'm shocked but I feel I deserve it for the way I played last season at QPR.

"The England manager saw a few of my games last season so I knew I was on his radar. It's a fantastic reward but I know I'm not the finished article."
