Tottenham winger Andros Townsend feels he owes his England call to his loan last season with QPR.
Townsend sys he returned to Spurs in preseason a more confident player.
"Going to QPR really matured me. I've come back this season and I'm ready to play and be involved. The manager has put faith in me in the first few games and I'm looking to continue that.
"The call-up is a fantastic reward for my start to the season but I know I'm not the finished article. I've got to go there and prove myself and hopefully I can get my first cap. It's nice to have recognition for doing so well at your club.
"It is always good to go away with such fantastic, world-class players, learn from them, get tips from them. Hopefully I can do well and impress the manager, and it's a good confidence boost, but I'm not getting carried away as I know I still need to work hard."
