Tottenham winger Andros Townsend says Norwich City boss Chris Hughton has been important in his career.

Townsend played for Hughton while on-loan at Birmingham City.

"Chris took me down to Birmingham for the last three months of the 2011-12 season and we got to the play-off semi-final, which was good," he recalled to the Spurs website.

"I enjoyed my time there, and Chris knows the way I play. It was a good spell for me."
