Tottenham winger Andros Townsend hopes to prove his value on-loan at Leeds United.
His chances of breaking into Tottenham's first-team on a regular basis has been thwarted by the incredible form of Gareth Bale.
He told The Sun: "It's unfortunate for me that Gareth is the best left winger in the world. He's the toughest person to force out of a team.
"He's so direct, excites the crowd, takes players on and makes things happens.
"I don't think he got into the team regularly until he was 20 despite signing when he was 17 so it gives me and the other young players at Spurs hope.
"Tottenham have the best midfield in the country - and, because the club has probably it's greatest starting XI for a generation, there are a lot of good young players who must go on loan to get games.
"So that's what I'm doing - proving myself at Leeds." "Off the pitch, he's quiet and humble. But, as a player, Gareth has a lot of pace and is the player I try to be.
