Tottenham winger Ryan Mason has seen his loan with Doncaster Rovers canceled.
Doncaster boss Dean Saunders admits he couldn't guarantee a start for the youngster.
Saunders told the Doncaster Free Press: "We couldn't guarantee that Ryan would be starting every week and Tottenham expected him to be playing, so he's gone back to them. The situation allows us to use his wages elsewhere now.
"I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on to big things because he's a great player.
"It's been a difficult situation for him here but we wish him well for the future because he's a good young player."
