Aaron Lennon has been ruled out of England's World Cup qualifiers beginning next week.
The Tottenham winger aggravated a hamstring problem in Thursday night's Europa League clash with Inter Milan, forcing him out of today's 1-0 defeat to Fulham, and will not be fit to take on San Marino and Montenegro on March 22 and 26 respectively.
"Lennon won't be able to make it," said Villas-Boas.
"He has been struggling a lot with injuries. We risked him the other day against Inter Milan and he is on the brink of rupturing his muscle so we have decided to take him out of this game. He has groin and hamstring (injuries)."
