Tottenham winger David Bentley stands by his decision to quit Blackburn Rovers in the summer.
"I made the decision to move on and I'm loving my time here now," he said.
Bentley admits he grew as a footballer under Mark Hughes at Rovers, who has since been succeeded by Paul Ince.
He added: "I loved it there. It's a great club with great people and it was a great environment to work in - every day was enjoyable to go into work.
"I found a good balance in my life and was fully focused on football.
"You want to be part of something, that's what I said when I came here. You don't want to be another number. I went to Blackburn and felt part of something - the club was bottom, then the manager came in and I was part of something really good.
"With the team we had and the money we spent, it was very successful."
The 24-year-old is expecting Spurs to get back to winning ways after losing to Fulham last week.
"It will be difficult but this is a game we should win," he said. "They'll close us down but they have footballers as well and talent in the squad. It was a myth from four or five years ago when they were battling and had to kick a few people.
"From my time there is was about playing good football."
