Tottenham will not Cup-tie available fringe players

Tottenham are reluctant to Cup-tie from Europe their available fringe players.

The Daily Star says Spurs don't want any of the players they are looking to sell cup-tied, which means Niko Kranjcar, Sebastien Bassong and Peter Crouch are unlikely to feature against Hearts.

It has been a tough build-up for Spurs, with their Premier League opener against Everton postponed due to the London riots.

Then they couldn't find a hotel near Tynecastle because of the Edinburgh Festival, so they will not train at the ground.

Harry Redknapp said: "It was a blow when the Everton game was called off, but what can you do? They were difficult circumstances.

"But we'll be ready. It's a difficult place to go and it will be a good test for us."
