Tottenham have joined Arsenal in their interest for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.The Sun says Benteke has hit 15 goals this season for Villa since his £8million switch from Genk last summer.

And that has alerted Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

But now Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is showing interest.

Benteke's agent Kismet Eris said: "It is normal that if you go to a club and do well, other clubs will show an interest.

"Christian has shown he can play in England.

"So why not take the step up to the next level?

"Right now his focus is on helping Aston Villa stay in the Premier League."
