Tottenham and West Ham United are chasing Monaco striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

L'Equipe says both clubs are in touch with the former Barcelona forward about a return to the Premiership this month.

Gudjohnsen was close to joining his former team-mate Gianfranco Zola at West Ham last summer but opted for a spell in France instead and signed a two year contract at Monaco.
