Tottenham and West Ham United are set to bid for Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor.

The People says with Ledley King's knee injury showing no signs of clearing up, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will monitor Taylor's performances when he leads the England Under-21 team in the European Championship finals next month and decide whether he could in alongside former Newcastle defender Jonathan Woodgate.
