The Mirror says Redknapp's Tottenham reign was doomed SIX months ago when chairman Daniel Levy and owner Joe Lewis started to consider life without him.
Levy and Lewis hatched a plan, which, they believe, will make Spurs a more progressive, modern club better equipped for the future – and it did not involve Redknapp.
One Tottenham insider said: “There’s been an increasing belief for months that a parting was inevitable. We could sense that there was a different agenda for the board and the manager.”
The vision of Levy and Lewis revolves around producing more homegrown players and spotting potential stars who can be signed well before they hit their peak.
