Tottenham tempted to cut Janssen's Fenerbahce loan short

Tottenham are contemplating recalling striker Vincent Janssen from his loan spell at Fenerbahce during the January transfer window.

Janssen went to Fenerbahce at the end of the summer transfer window, following his inability to convince manager Mauricio Pochettino that he could compete with the likes of Harry Kane and Hueng-Min Son for a position the first team.

However, Janssen has only scored twice during his loan spell, despite being a favourite with the Fener fans.

The reasons for Spurs recalling Janssen are unclear. Some reports suggest he will take Fernando Llorente's position in the squad, while others suggest he will be sold to Napoli.
