Tottenham's 18-year-old midfielder Danny Rose has joined Championship outfit Watford on loan for the rest of the season. "Danny was a boy I was aware of from his time at Elland Road," Watford boss Brendan Rogers told the Hornets' website.

"He has got a big talent. He has been injured for a while but we have taken him to have a look at him, with a view to next season as well."

He added: "He has good energy and real intelligence with the ball. Technically he's a good player but he also has commitment and it's very important that players have that."
