Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly targeting Inter Milan full-back Alvaro Pereira.
The Spurs boss worked with the Uruguayan at FC Porto and attempted to sign him when at the helm at Chelsea but is now endeavouring to lure him to White Hart Lane.
The Daily Mail reports that Villas-Boas does not see current left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto in his long-term plans and is casting the net out for a new signing this summer to fill the void.
Cameroon international Assou-Ekotto is believed to be almost certain to leave North London at the end of the current campaign.
