Tottenham are interested in Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.

The talented centre-forward is seeking a two-year contract extension at Roma worth £3.5 million-a-season - which is too rich for the current Roma board.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is ready to pounce, viewing Vucinic as an ideal replacement for Dimitar Berbatov, now of Manchester United.

However, says Vucinic is cool on the prospect of moving to White Hart Lane and is hoping United revive their interest in his signing. The Montenegrin would also welcome a move to Liverpool this summer.
