Fabio Capello is set to sign a new deal as Russia national team manager according to Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko.
The Italian tactician, who was being linked with the vacancy at Tottenham, will commit himself to the Russian cause ahead of next year's World Cup.
"The last touches to Capello's contract have been made and now the Russian Football Union should set a date for the signing and I think that this should happen after the New Year holidays," Mutko said of the former England boss.
"Nothing can stop it, all the questions have been agreed."
Capello took the reins of the Russian side after Dick Advocaat resigned following their failure at Euro2012 last summer.
