Tottenham have held talks with the agent of Palermo defender Matias Silvestre.

Pablo Cosentino has been in London this week to meet with Spurs officials and discuss a move to White Hart Lane for his client.

Tottenham are willing to hand Silvestre a five-year deal to see off competition from Inter Milan and AC Milan for the Argentine-born defender.
