Tottenham stun Inter Milan in Champions League

Tottenham defeated current European champions Inter Milan 3-1 at White Hart Lane with an exceptional performance in Group A of the Champions League.

Gareth Bale again tormented Milan with another fine display as Spurs took another step towards the Champions League knock-out stage.

Luka Modric set up the first goal for Rafael van der Vaart in the 18th minute and then Bale began to cause the Italian’s all sorts of problems.

Peter Crouch had already missed one Bale cross but converted another chance created by the Welsh wizard just after the hour mark.

Inter threatened a comeback when Samuel Eto'o reduced the arrears with ten minutes remaining but Bale again was the provider in the final minute for Roman Pavlyuchenko to seal the points.
