Tottenham have confirmed that Clinton Njie has had surgery on his injured knee.
The 22-year-old suffered medial collateral ligament damage in the final Europa League group stage clash with Monaco earlier this month and has now undergone an operation to address the issue.
No timeframe has been given for the return of Njie, who joined Spurs from Lyon in the summer, but a club statement suggested he will work closely with the medical staff in a bid to speed up his recovery.
The club's official website read: "The Cameroon forward sustained the injury during our Europa League victory against Monaco.
"Our medical staff will monitor Clinton's progress during his rehabilitation to determine when he will be ready to return to training."
